keeping it off during the holiday season

The average American during the holiday season can expect to gain 10 pounds....keeping in mind that 5 pounds of fat is about a bread bag full. Man that is nasty.

To make sure you don't meet this stat, eat earth foods and only have one cheat meal a week. Train in something that stimulates your mind and body.

Cheat Days

Cheat Days can be good/bad depending. Depending on your discipline and if you are exceeding calorie intake already.

I know some people who blow a whole week in one day (shoot I have done this myself). I would say a cheat meal is more in order and don't be like the ancient greeks with the vomitorium.

And then back to discipline, be strict when no one is watching.....good training and see you at www.americanfistlaw.com

Injuries

Work around injuries.....to many times while training someone will injure something and not do anything. After the healing it seems to take a long time to get into shape again. I always say if you can walk you can train.

Injure your right arm, work your jab, mess up your shoulders work your kicks. Strained muscles can't grapple hard, just lightly drill.

Whatever the case find a way to stay in shape, break both legs, lay in your bed and pump those free weights with your arms.

And if you can't train, don't eat like you're doing 2 a days, restrict your calories and get back at it asap.

when to take a break

Run yourself hard your body is meant to be used. Pretty soon your body will get used to it and it might be hard to judge when you need a rest.

Telltale signs are...

1. Being very tired
2. crabbier than normal
3. kicking your dog
4. arguing with people over trivial matters
5. wanting to skip work to sleep
6. skipping work to sleep
7. welding a big grate on your car to ram people that can't drive
8. loading up your cart with 50 items and going to 10 or less checkout just cause you want to see other people pissed.

Take a break when you feel exhausted....remember resting is part of training you are letting yourself heal.

its not a secret

Quit taking pills, there isn't a miracle machine or program. You don't need weights or any infomercial.....none of that will help if you don't have a desire to change. In other word you need to hit bottom.

In the words of AA you need to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. Nothing will work until you have had enough, enough of being uncomfortable, enough of not looking in the mirror, enough of avoiding scales, enough of eating just a salad in front of people and then gorging in private, enough of saying your husky or big boned, enough of your clothes never fitting, enough of getting winded while you tie your shoes, enough of complaining to people how you can just look at food and gain weight, enough enough enough.

No more excuses you need a personal coach, we are here for you, http://www.attsavage.com/ for the right results.

don't give up

To many times people start a weight loss program expecting to much. 1-2 pounds a week is excellent. I have a problem with all of the infomercials that claim 30-50 lbs in 90 days. Shoot you didn't gain 30-50 pounds in 90 days (at least I hope not).

It probably took a few years. If you lose 50 lbs. in 1 year congrats, heck if you lose 10-20 in 1 year congrats....keep it up at least you are losing and not gaining.

Just keep stepping on the scale and make those adjustments. To get those adjustments go to http://www.attsavage.com/, good training.

vegas vacation

Well sort of a vacation, just got back from the 2012 MAIA Supershow. The show lived up to the name. Meeting Stephan Bonner and Chael Sonnen was neat. I went there to learn business systems of improvement for http://www.attsavage.com/.

6 hours of educational seminars daily didn't give me a chance to train but I came back home 2lbs lighter. Ain't gonna lie it was hard I really watched what I ate and did 150 of each everyday, pushups, squats and situps. That and a very strict diet made me feel good when I got home and stepped on the scale.

the transformation

Weight loss as in business, being able to change from day to day is essential. If something isn't working tweak it til it does, and if it never does get rid of it.

For instance many times I have gotten off track by listening to things like "its not the scale, its the mirror you should listen to" or the "eat 5 meals a day and make them smaller" stuff like that has gotten me off track.

The only thing that keep me on track is the scale. Don't weigh myself daily gain weight, weigh myself daily lose and maintain weight.

Now if you are weighing yourself daily and not losing, make those slight adjustments until that scale moves downward toward your ideal weight.

If its not working be patient and if you aren't patient go to http://www.savagethaiboxing.com/ for best results.

very strict

It flat out sucks getting old. I am 44 and if I workout like a madman and eat like crap I will gain weight.....not like in my 20s.

The older you get the harder it is to lose weight. You must be very strict in diet and exercise. Cut down, 2 meals a day and increase your exercise. Supplement the 3rd meal with a protein shake. Get extreme for the best results.

Get 7 recipe cards write down your meals and exercise on the cards for a Monday through Sunday routine (include a rest and cheat day....but don't go overboard on the cheat) and follow like your life depends on it.

For additional help go to http://www.attsavage.com/ and come on in for a free consultation.

shake up your routine

Sometimes it gets hard to do the same thing over and over. Mix up your training or add to it. The body gets used to doing the same thing and you won't get the results that you desire unless you shock the system. For tips and other helpful info go to http://www.attsavage.com/

How to exercise when traveling

I was gone for a week away from the norm.....it was tough but made it through without gaining weight. Started out the day with a walk on the beach ( I know tough but it had to be done). Everyday I did 100 squats, 50 pushups and 50 burpees along with the 2 mile beach walk and watching what I ate I came back no worse for the wear.

I developed the habitual routine at http://www.attsavage.com/

You can do the same.

holding yourself accountable

Who holds you accountable? If you don't have a gym to go to or you do but don't listen to the coach. Then what can you do to make yourself lose the gut.

The answer is easy, weigh yourself 2x per day. Once in the morning and once at night. If you don't lose adjust things, more exercise, less calories, watch the glycemic index in the foods you eat.

Keep adjusting until you start losing and if you are having trouble just go to http://www.attsavage.com/ for the best martial arts weight loss program around.

out of the ditch

Over the sickness, went 2 rounds in 2 weeks. Stayed on track and didn't eat junk. Running raw (well almost) wife made vegan lasagna over the weekend, good stuff.

Still about 70 raw, up to about 95% vegan, can't seem to shake feta cheese for the salad.

Tuesday, February 7, 2012

feeling good

I can feel the raw food cleaning me out. I am not 100% there yet but when its not raw I am trying to make it vegan.

Right now I am about 70% raw and 90% vegan.

This is gonna be good.

Zig

Zig Ziglar, one of the greatest motivational speakers of all times has many quotes but the ones that I love the most.

The elevator to success is broken, but the stairs work just fine.

You can get what you want, if you help as many people as you can, get what they want.

There is rarely a fast track to success, incremental steps moving forward is you best bet, but you must keep moving towards that goal or you won't succeed.

The law of reciprocity. Help as many people as you can and you will see your fortune grow.

see it to make it happen

What a lot of people don't understand is so simple. The great Earle Nightengale - "You become what you think about, most of the time"

So visualize it to make it happen, see it and then take massive action to attain anything you want. The thoughts combined with action steps is a sure way to succeed in anything.

Weight loss, business, family life, overcoming phobias. All the great ones do those 2 things.

visualize followed by massive action, try it and make things happen.
